My family has been working in the field of water tower maintenance since 1958. My father started the company with a small crew of dedicated employees who would day in and day out, climb the towering structures to clean and maintain them. Over time, we began to notice a troubling pattern. In smaller communities with limited budgets, the water tanks were not being cleaned regularly, leading to a buildup of sedimentation in the bottom of the tanks. This sedimentation was not only affecting the quality of the water but was also becoming a health hazard for the people in those communities.
Personally, I couldn't bear the thought of people getting sick or even dying from something that could be prevented. I decided to take action and started tinkering with various prototypes of a device that could clean the water tanks without the need for expensive and time-consuming manual labor. After years of trial and error, and with the assistance of NASA engineers, I finally came up with the perfect design.
My water tank cleaner was revolutionary. I used a combination of tested technologies to remove the sedimentation from the bottom of the tanks quickly and efficiently and at substantial overall savings. With the help of close friends and other talented individuals, I was able to patent this invention and started pitching it to various water tower maintenance companies.
I soon landed a deal with a small water tower maintenance company. The company had been struggling to keep up with the cleaning demands of the small community, and my invention was exactly what they needed. The water tank cleaner was put to the test, and it worked like a charm. 
Not only was it far more efficient than manual cleaning, but it was also much safer for the workers, not to speak of the savings to the water company.
Perhaps some water companies believe that manual cleaning is sufficient. However, I am convinced that in time, as higher standards are being demanded and required, all water companies will seek a more efficient resolution.
I expect word about this new technology to spread quickly, and in fact, I am already receiving multiple inquiries from water tower maintenance companies across the country. My dream of helping solve an environmental and health problem has finally come true and is already making a real difference in people's lives.
As I reflect on this journey and the impact this invention has had on the communities I have served, I am settled in my heart that my intentions and ambitions have never been motivated by greed or fame. I have one objective only and that is to continue my family heritage of making a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve. This has resulted in saving countless lives by providing pure and clean drinking water. To contribute to good health and a state of well-being for my neighbor is my ultimate reward.
